Gabriel’s Villa, an assisted living for older adults, is seeking a full-time, day shift Executive Chef to coordinate its dining services, and a part-time Cook to complement its excellent meal services.
Executive Chef: Qualified applicants will have experience in preparing meals for large groups of people and working with special diets, possess a good work history, initiative, communication and planning skills. In addition to functioning as head chef, duties include menu planning, purchasing, inventory control, and special diet coordination. This position does work every other weekend and every other holiday.
Part-time Cook: This position involves every other weekend and every other holiday. Experience in quantity cooking and working with special diets required.

This individual would work Monday – Friday, 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Bethel Home, a 200-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. Assistant PM Food Service Supervisor
Bethel Home, a 200-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility with a 28 bed Alzheimer’s/dementia special care unit, is seeking a hands-on PM Food Service Supervisor.
The qualified applicant must have prior food service and supervisory experience. Experience in a long-term care setting is preferred. This position will report to the Food Service Supervisor and will be responsible for assisting with the evening meal for 200 residents, in addition to special events. Other duties will include input on menu preparation, ordering, stocking supplies, and ensuring sanitary standards are met.

Responsibilities include communicating with the residents, their families and physicians; documenting resident conditions; assigning nursing care; performing health assessments; administering medications and treatments; monitoring resident health needs; and following physician orders. Position does work every other weekend.
Qualifications include excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to react decisively in emergency situations; ability to maintain confidentiality; and ability to direct and motivate staff. Must have a valid Wisconsin nursing license. Experience in long term care preferred.

Caregiver - Part-time
Elijah’s Place, a 12-bed Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) for those with Alzheimer’s disease, has two part-time openings for a compassionate Caregiver with CBRF certifications. These positions are on either the PM or NOC shift. The PM hours are three shifts in a two week pay period; working 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The NOC shift hours are seven, 8 hour shifts in a two week pay period working from 10:45 p.m. to 6:45 a.m. Previous experience working with older adults with dementia is preferred. You will be required to work every other weekend.

Provides support in the areas of reception, communication, foundation
development, volunteer recruitment, human resources and a wide range of clerical
duties.
Activity
Plans and coordinates internal and community sponsored activities to enhance the
social and educational aspect of our residents’ lives. This includes activities such as
games, crafts, baking, exercise, music, trips, and special holiday events.
Business Services
Conducts the financial and business operations of the organization. This includes representing our interest in transaction with our residents and their families,
as well as with outside vendors and suppliers. The department includes
persons specializing in purchasing, computer systems, payroll, accounts payable
and receivable.
Dietary Services
Dietary Services provides delicious and nutritious meals to residents of Bethel Home, Carmel Residence and the Simeanna Apartments. A dietitan is available to ensure that the nutritional needs of all residents are indentified.
Housekeeping/Laundry Department
Responsible for the day-to-day cleaning of our facilities, and the laundering of our residents’ clothing and linens.
Housing Services
Coordinates the occupancy of our independent living apartments and the clerical functions that support the process. It is responsible for the residents of Carmel and Simeanna Apartments.
Maintenance/Security Department
Provides for the upkeep of our buildings, grounds, and equipment. This includes large cleaning projects, painting, major carpet and floor maintenance, preventative maintenance and landscaping. The security of our residents, personnel, and property is also an important function of this department.
Nursing
RN's, LPN's, CNA's and caregivers working together to meet the healthcare needs of residents. Provides the 24-hour skilled nursing care for our nursing home, Bethel Home, and our community based residential facility, Elijah’s Place. Duties range from activities of daily living such as bathing and feeding to medication administration and care planning. Maintaining medical records and monitoring the Medicare program are also functions of this department. Specific certifications are required.
Social Services
Works directly with our residents and their families to facilitate a smooth transition during admission to our nursing facilities. Following admission, the department works with residents and families to insure that their resident needs are met. A bachelor’s degree in Social Work is required.
